English Homework

Children should be reading at least three times a week and recording their reading in their reading records.

Please make sure that children bring in their yellow reading folders on Mondays and Wednesdays! On Mondays, Miss Smith will be checking to see that reading has been done at home and on Wednesday's we will be changing our supplementary books.

Big Cats ebooks

This week please can you try to log into your Big Cats account. This is a new resource for all of us and we are all learning how to use it together.

I have assigned you a book about the Romans to read/look at as well as a book that is the correct colour band for your child to read during the week. Some of you may find the roman book a bit tricky to read but perhaps you could ask an adult to read it to you.

If you log onto teams, there is an assignment for you to complete to let me know about the book you have just read. After this, I will then set you a new book.

This week we are not setting spellings on SpellingFrame. We have set them on here instead. Be creative about how you practise your speelings this week! Have fun! There will be a spelling test on Monday!

Each week we will be setting spellings to learn using the Spelling Frame online and we will test the children on a Monday.  This half term we will be revising previous years (Year 2/3) common exception (tricky) words as well as moving onto Year 3/4 words.
